The S.E.A.L.E.D team gains a healer, a pyro, and an attack thief.
Lost Dimension is all about psychics getting into trouble. You would think, at first glance, that their mind powers would have granted them the foresight to avoid conflict, but Lost Dimension‘s S.E.A.L.E.D team shows us that the mental abilities of its members are much more varied than that.
The newest video for the upcoming Playstation tactical RPG shows off three mentally-amplified heroes from the game. First up is Sojiro, a medical professional able to both support his own teammates and inflict status ailments on foes. That’s right, folks, we’re talking MIND POISON.
Next is Zenji, who acts as a sort of copycat character. Zenji has the ability to mimic the attacks and abilities that come his way from the opposing side, giving everyone in his way a taste of their own medicine. Also, he has a shotgun. I don’t think that mimics anything, other than the common concept of guns being used to shoot things. So hey, there’s that.
Finally, Himeno comes in with some double-sided elemental fire(ice?)power. Himeno is classified as a pyrokinetic, but actually has complete dominion over both fire and ice. This makes her not just one force to be reckoned with, but two, all in one snarky package.
A significant part of the setup in Lost Dimension is the factor of betrayal, and these three are suspects just like everyone else. Five out of the eleven party members in Lost Dimension are out to betray the player over the course of the game.Who should you trust? What if Sojiro prescribes you with a fatal overdose of prescription medicine? What if Himeno burns your body to a crisp, or freezes and then shatters you? What if Zenji…shoots you? With his gun?
Find out just who you can and can’t trust (seriously, eleven psychics and nobody’s willing to clue you in?) when Lost Dimension hits Playstation 3 and Playstation Vita on July 28th. Remember, $20 of DLC will be available free with the game within the first week of its release. Get ready for some savage psychics.
